End Date/Duration: 26 weeks (6 months)

Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Day shift, 8 hours)

Hours/Week: 40 hours

License/Certs: California OD license, BLS certification required

Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with pediatric populations in a medical setting, experience with complex cases preferred

Pay Rate: $160.80/hour

What You'll Do

• Conduct pediatric optometry exams, including binocular vision and strabismus assessments
• Support complex contact lens fittings, especially for pediatric patients
• Manage a busy outpatient clinic seeing 12-14 patients per day, primarily pediatrics and some adults with developmental delays
• Utilize all imaging and diagnostic equipment, performing work-ups and patient care
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists, technicians, and other specialists for comprehensive patient management
• Document exams and procedures within Epic EMR system

What You Need

• Valid California OD license
• BLS certification
• At least 3 years of pediatric optometry experience, preferably with complex cases or residency training
• Strong skills in pediatric vision assessments and binocular/strabismus evaluations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
