Payroll Manager - Hybrid | DMV Area

Cherry Bekaert

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a midmarket organization in the DMV area to identify a Payroll Manager for a hybrid role. This position supports a stable payroll environment and works closely with Accounting and HR leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Manage biweekly payroll processing for a midsized employee population
Oversee payroll compliance, reconciliations, and reporting
Serve as the primary payroll contact for employee inquiries
Partner with Accounting on payroll entries and monthend close
Support benefits administration and timekeeping processes
Maintain payroll systems and vendor relationships

Qualifications

5+ years of payroll experience
Experience with payroll systems outside of Workday (construction or midmarket ERP a plus)
Knowledge of multistate payroll and compliance
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to work in a hybrid environment (4 days onsite)
