Make an impact in the educational field by supporting students and teachers in a dynamic school environment as a dedicated paraprofessional. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about fostering student growth, learning, and inclusion on a contract basis in the Nashua, NH area.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children in educational settings (preferred)
- Ability to follow teacher and specialist direction while working independently when needed
- Patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills
- Basic understanding of child development and classroom management
- Up-to-date background check and references upon request
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or paraeducator certification a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under the guidance of certified teaching staff
- Assist in the implementation of lesson plans and accommodations as directed
- Work one-on-one or with small groups to reinforce instructional material and learning objectives
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere within the classroom and school community
- Help students develop skills promoting independence and participation
- Document and report student progress or concerns to educators and support staff
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development as required
