Field Service Technician II

Overview Field Service Technician II – Global Finishing Solutions (GFS). Solve mechanical and electrical problems on paint booths and finishing systems, travel regionally, train customers, and ensure equipment operates at peak performance. Responsibilities Install, start up, and maintain high-performance paint booths and equipment for auto body shops and industrial customers. Troubleshoot and repair systems—including motors, fans, VFDs, and process controllers. Read schematics, electrical diagrams, and blueprints to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues. Deliver customer training, both hands‑on and in classroom settings. Travel regionally, including overnight stays, to support customers and partners. Provide feedback to engineering and design teams to improve product features. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in a technical role such as HVAC, industrial equipment, controls, or related field. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, wiring, controls, and airflow. Ability to read and revise blueprints, electrical diagrams, and schematics. Self‑starter mindset with strong problem‑solving and customer service skills. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the region. Associate degree preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience highly valued. Benefits & Compensation Pay range: $32.69 – $41.15 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. Annual individual incentive based on company performance; maximum bonus amounts may vary.
