Upperline Health
Upperline Health is the nation’s largest provider dedicated to lower extremity, wound and vascular care. Founded in 2017 with the ambitious goal of changing specialty care, Upperline Health delivers a more efficient path for patients to receive consistent and effective treatment for chronic illnesses. Triage is temporary. Treatment is transformative. Upperline Health providers coordinate patients’ care among a team of specialists - physicians, advanced practice providers, care navigators, pharmacists, dieticians, and social workers for integrated treatment that addresses patients’ immediate and long-term health needs. We put patients at the center of value-based care. This position requires 75% travel in/around the Chattanooga, TN area to the assigned clinics as well as monthly travel to clinics located in Memphis, TN area. In-person visits to each clinic in the region once every two (2) weeks is expected. ABOUT THE REGIONAL MANAGER Upperline Health is looking for a Regional Manager to lead our clinic operations across our Tennessee market (Memphis- Chattanooga- Knoxville), including managing existing operations and leading transitions as we continue to expand our operations. The Regional Manager is a fast-paced operations role with demands from multiple stakeholders including corporate teams, Clinic Operations leadership peers, physicians, and clinic roles. To be successful at this position, you need strong leadership and management skills to lead clinic staff—specifically building and developing capabilities within our team in the areas of relationship-building, operational excellence and patient/customer experience. You will work collaboratively with Regional Directors and clinic leads to solve various day-to-day operational issues. In addition to the tactical components of this position, the Regional Manager will help with the strategic integration of new practices and help support the business development team. As part of integrations and ongoing operations, the ideal candidate can manage the day-to-day business while also thinking about more efficient processes and consistent systems across our enterprise as we look to perfect our product offering in the market. Upperline is looking for strong performers who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, who can handle tasks both big and small, and who can work with a diversity of stakeholders well. We believe this is a unique opportunity for those looking for hands-on operations and management experience, particularly in healthcare. What You'll Do: Clinic Management: Day-to-day management of up to 13 Podiatry clinics. Monitoring and managing staffing, operational and cultural issues which entails timely and high-quality decision-making skills and solving issues personally, delegating, escalating and/or and working with the regional team to collaboratively solve. Timely and high-quality decision-making skills are required. You will Lead team huddles and ensure they happen at clinics consistently when not being led personally. In person visits to each clinic in the region once every two (2) weeks is expected. Business Ownership: Create reports and work with centralized data analysts at corporate office for more complex reporting when needed. A cornerstone of Upperline's clinic operations is regular data reporting - a mix of collaboration and direct action as well as providing insights on trends for your specific region is required. Clinic Leadership: Build trust and respect within a clinic environment across multiple locations, including leading employees with a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience. Prioritize building relationships and gaining a deeper understanding of the clinics to assist in celebrating wins and areas of expertise as well as anticipating challenges and issues. Building Effective Teams: Interview and select clinic staff for all of your direct locations (and occasionally assisting with other clinics in your region), by working with our internal centralized team on anticipating and prioritizing needs, and assessing candidates against job criteria and location need Physician Partnership: Proactively and consistently gain strong understanding of the strengths and areas of opportunity for each of the clinic in your region. Partner with the physicians to create a plan that optimizes business performance and quality patient care and also upholds the culture of Upperline. Financial Responsibility: Set financial targets effectively explain leading and lagging indicators and develop solutions in areas of issue Transitions and Growth: Work cross-functionally with our strategic growth team to drive a successful transition process for new acquisitions Systems and Processes: With a focus on consistent operations across Upperline's clinics, partner with the corporate team to flag and solve inconsistencies or opportunities for improvement. You appreciate and seek diverse and different perspectives, both on your direct team and with peers Owner at Heart: you crave responsibility and want to contribute to driving financial, operational and culture best practices for your region Takes Initiative: you roll up your sleeves and readily take on challenges with a positive attitude Problem solver: you have a talent for synthesizing complex projects, can independently translate high-level goals into actionable plans, and enjoy implementing process.
