Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Guide in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon – 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM Tue – 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM Wed – 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM Thu – 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM Fri – 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening procedures, directions, and general support while maintaining awareness of hospital and medical facility protocols. Document incidents, patrol activities, and unusual conditions accurately and promptly, and communicate with staff and first responders when appropriate. Minimum Requirements: At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
