Barista & Cafe Team Member

The Café Team Member is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while preparing fresh food and beverages in a clean, efficient, and welcoming café. This role helps create a relaxing space where parents can enjoy quality food and drinks while their children play. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys serving families. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service Greet every guest with a smile and provide friendly, attentive service. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently. Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations. Handle customer concerns professionally and notify management when needed. Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return. Food & Beverage Preparation Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, wraps, snacks, and other menu items according to recipes and quality standards. Ensure food is presented attractively and served promptly. Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out). Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the day. Food Safety & Cleanliness Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Wash dishes, utensils, and food preparation equipment. Keep countertops, dining areas, and beverage stations clean and organized. Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning checklists. Maintain a clean, stocked, and inviting café environment. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately. Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments. Balance cash drawer and report discrepancies to management. Teamwork Work closely with playground staff to ensure every family has an exceptional experience. Assist with birthday parties, special events, and busy service periods. Help wherever needed to support the team and maintain smooth operations. Qualifications Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire). Passion for providing exceptional hospitality. Positive attitude with excellent communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen and family entertainment environment. What Success Looks Like Every guest is greeted warmly and served with excellence.
