Work Environment

As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work onsite, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to implement best practices in restorative care. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Massage & Exercise Therapy, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians and developing personalized treatment plans based on their unique conditions.
• Administering a range of therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to enhance functional outcomes.
• Providing education and training to patients and their caregivers regarding rehabilitation procedures and injury prevention strategies.
• Tracking patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery aligned with physician directives.
• Enhancing the patient experience by delivering exceptional customer service and actively engaging each client during their therapy sessions.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes, sharing insights and best practices to foster holistic care.
• Meeting minimum utilization goals and contributing to the organization's overall success in patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The role focuses on a diverse patient population, including those suffering from orthopedic issues, pediatric patients, neurologic conditions, and sports-related injuries. You will work with patients at various stages of recovery, employing diagnostic and therapeutic skills to restore function and enhance mobility. Building strong relationships and trust with patients is key to guiding them through their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved institution.
• A current state license in Physical Therapy for Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clear and effective patient interaction.
• Proficient computer skills, including word processing and electronic documentation.
• A demonstrated commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with patients, leading to strong patient outcomes.
• A passion for connecting positively with clients and enhancing their rehabilitation experience.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience will be considered a plus:

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic therapy or related fields.
• Experience working with diverse patient demographics, specifically in sports medicine or pediatric therapy.
• Familiarity with contemporary physical therapy technologies and treatment modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
