Make a difference supporting students as a contract-based occupational therapist near El Dorado Hills, CA. This full-time, full school year position serves K-12 students across various sites in an itinerant role. You’ll have the chance to work with a moderate to severe caseload, providing valuable direct and consultative services that shape student success on a daily basis.
Your background in school-based therapy makes you a resource for assessments, IEP planning, and impactful collaboration with education teams. The district is seeking onsite professionals dedicated to maintaining continuity of care, as remote or hybrid work is not an option for this opening. Prior experience supporting students in California schools is preferred and will make it easier to transition smoothly into this rewarding environment.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license required
- Experience delivering direct and consultative OT services in K-12 settings
- Competence in assessment, reporting, and participation in IEP teams
- Comfort traveling between sites as part of an itinerant schedule
- Experience with moderate to severe caseloads highly regarded
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organization skills
- Previous California schools OT experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct treatment to students with various abilities
- Provide consultative support to staff and families
- Complete thorough evaluations and essential documentation
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and allied professionals
- Support student independence and participation in school settings
