Pepperonis Houston Heights is looking for an energetic and dependable Shift Lead to join our team in Houston, TX! This is a great opportunity to step into a leadership role at a beloved local pizza spot where great food and great people come together. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love motivating a team, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily shift operations to ensure smooth, efficient service from open to close
- Lead, motivate, and support team members during shifts to maintain high performance
- Monitor food quality, prep, and presentation to uphold restaurant standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism
- Assist with cash handling, drawer counts, and end-of-shift reporting
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
- Coordinate staffing coverage and delegate tasks effectively throughout the shift
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality environment required
- Prior supervisory or shift lead experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills and comfort with cash handling and POS systems
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team-first attitude
