Salary: $55,00- $60,000

Position Summary

The Business Partnership Manager will be a primary lead in engaging employers in ElevateEdAZ by aligning business participation with their respective talent development and civic engagement goals. This role will cultivate and onboard new business partners and strengthen existing business partner relationships.

The position will refine and advance ElevateEdAZ’s business engagement strategies to expand high-quality work-based learning experiences for high school students. This includes coordinating employer-connected opportunities such as internships, job shadows, career awareness activities, student experiences, and educator externships in collaboration with partner organizations.

The Business Partnership Manager will assist the District Director with strategic outreach campaigns and employer-facing events, with an emphasis on securing opportunities for underrepresented pathways. The role will also support team operations by serving as the point person for CRM data quality assurance and facilitating weekly Business Partnership Team and Director meetings.

The ideal candidate will communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate the initiative to sustain momentum and move work forward with minimal direction. As with all Chamber employees, this individual is expected to collaborate across departments, contribute as a team player, and help advance the organization’s mission.

Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation

The Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation (the Foundation) convenes and catalyzes business, education, and community to enhance college and career readiness, develop a stronger workforce, and build healthier communities throughout Arizona. The Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, leads the charitable and education initiatives of the Greater Phoenix Chamber under the four pillars of education, workforce development, wellness, and research. Through stronger alignment between education, business, and community, the Foundation prepares individuals for college and career and serves as an intermediary to convey workforce needs and champion scalable workforce solutions. In addition, the Foundation makes Arizona and the Greater Phoenix region known as destinations for healthy talent and healthy communities through workplace wellness efforts and publishes data-driven research to inform policymakers, business leaders, and the general public.

ElevateEdAZ

An initiative of the Foundation, ElevateEdAZ prepares Arizona students for college and career through stronger alignment between education, business, and the community. ElevateEdAZ is focused on aligning education to workforce learning pathways with the needs of Arizona’s leading industries. Our strategic objectives include increasing the number of students enrolled in and completing high-wage, high-demand career pathways, increasing student attainment of industry-recognized credentials and early post-secondary credit, providing more students with work-based learning experiences, and empowering educators to reimagine classroom learning through educator externships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ElevateEdAZ Business Partnership Team efforts to establish and maintain relationships with businesses to provide internships, job shadows, and career awareness and development opportunities for students and teachers at partner schools
• Meet with current and potential business partners to generate high school internship and job shadow opportunities for ElevateEdAZ partner schools
• Facilitate employer onboarding events, meetings, and training to ensure business partners are appropriately prepared, receive proactive communications, and have a quality experience working with school partners, including support to mediate any issues that may arise.
• Develop and refine structures and processes associated with business engagement
• Serve as an account manager ensuring activities related to business engagement are recorded in the CRM tool a timely and accurate manner
• Collaborate with Chamber, Foundation, and ElevateEdAZ staff to coordinate business outreach efforts and effectively match businesses with opportunities at local schools and districts
• Attend internal and external events to increase awareness of ElevateEdAZ in the community and generate increased business engagement
• Support Business Advisory Councils, ensuring business attendance and leading meetings as assigned
• Submit marketing requests as needed to ensure ElevateEdAZ website, presentations, flyers, and collateral reflect timely and relevant changes
• Prepare reports associated with key performance indicators, annual reports, and grant reports
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications and Skills

The Foundation is looking for candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities desirable for job success:

• Minimum two years of experience in business or partnership development or meeting and event planning and facilitation
• Minimum one year experience working in or with the business community
• Demonstrated ability to strategically plan and execute business partner outreach to increase employer engagement at all partnered high schools
• Must have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to establish professional relationships with educators, business professionals, and community leaders
• Skilled in outreach, meeting facilitation, and gaining employer/partner buy-in
• Must possess analytical ability to solve problems, anticipate challenges, and identify opportunities and solutions
• Must be able to provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers at all levels of an organization
• Detail-oriented with the ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks. Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Highly motivated to learn, grow professionally, and work in a team environment
• Experience working with a customer service management (CRM) platform is preferred
• Proficient in all MS Office products
• Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
• Must be able to pass a background check, fingerprint clearance, and a drug test
