Saddle Mind Rehab & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in San Jose, California. In this full-time role, you will play an essential part in helping patients regain mobility and achieve their personal best in functional health. Your expertise will be crucial in areas such as evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and rehabilitation, all aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our clientele.

Our state-of-the-art, 5000 square foot facility is designed to meet the specific needs of our patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic outpatient care. We cater mostly to individuals covered by private medical insurance, allowing us to provide tailored, high-quality treatment. With a small, dedicated team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), our practice emphasizes collaboration and comprehensive patient care.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our modern sports medicine facility in San Jose. You will work standard hours, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a predictable work-life balance. Our facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and a welcoming environment that encourages patient engagement and collaboration among team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments for each patient to establish individualized treatment objectives and design comprehensive therapy plans.
• Efficiently manage a patient caseload, averaging one patient per hour, to ensure optimal quality of care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver effective interventions aimed at improving patient mobility and reducing pain.
• Develop and implement fitness and wellness programs tailored to the specific needs of each patient, encouraging active participation in their rehabilitation process.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans, adjusting as necessary to meet patient goals.
• Deliver motivational support, reinforcing patients' commitment to their recovery process while promoting independence in mobility.
• Thoroughly document patient progress and care in EMR systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each patient's treatment.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and overall health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice predominantly serves patients recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. These individuals seek assistance in regaining mobility, managing pain, and enhancing their physical function for everyday living. Your role will be instrumental in providing rehabilitation services that empower them to move freely and lead healthy, active lifestyles.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy practices is highly preferred.
• Experience with manual therapy techniques and conducting exercise regimens for diverse patient needs.
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software platforms, preferably WebPT.

Compensation and Benefits
