About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff to bridge the gap between its rapidly expanding engineering capacity and the strategic management of development programs. This hybrid role is pivotal, encompassing program and client management, business development, and internal operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for running development programs from start to finish, partnering with a Chief Engineer to own the plan, schedule, budget, and client relationship. The role demands the ability to steer programs through changes, manage client expectations, and exert informed pressure on the engineering team to ensure work is well-scoped and sequenced. The Chief of Staff will also be involved in supporting capture and proposal work and will be expected to improve the operating system to enhance the efficiency of program management. Applicants for the Chief of Staff position at the company should have a background that includes 4-8 years' of professional experience, with a quantitative background and an engineering undergraduate degree being a plus. The role requires a candidate with enough technical grounding to engage in conversations at an undergraduate physics level and a strong sense of ownership and independence. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with business leaders, have a proactive approach to problem-solving, and be comfortable with the ambiguity of a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
