Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night shift position. The RN will work 36 hours per week, covering shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The role typically involves working every third weekend and covering one holiday, although this may vary based on departmental needs and staffing levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to cardiac step-down patients, including those recovering from heart catheterization and post-operative open-heart surgery.
• Assess and manage cardiac drips as well as general medical-surgical step-down care.
• Possibility of floating to other units during low volume periods or staffing crises.
• Occasional care for ventilated patients may be required based on patient needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a cardiac step-down setting.
• Proficiency in caring for open-heart patients.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Comfort and competence in providing care to ventilated patients, if necessary.

This position is classified with normal urgency, and there may be the opportunity for flexible scheduling based on departmental needs.
