Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Schedule - Shift Length: 12-hour shifts - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Assignment Details - Contract Length: 10 weeks

Requirements - 2 years of pediatric or emergency department experience. Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC (must be on file prior to signing). Preferred: Trauma/resuscitation experience and prior charge experience. Special Requirement: Pediatric experience in a Pediatric ED or combined Adult/Peds ED. Pending licenses are accepted.

Roles & Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in an emergency setting. Conduct thorough assessments and develop nursing diagnoses for each patient. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Participate in triage and prioritize care based on urgency and patient needs. Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.

Compliance / Notes - Orientation: Approximately 24 hours. Documentation is typically due 10 days prior to the start. Drug screening must be completed within 30 days of the start date. A conflict exists regarding COVID vaccination requirements; please confirm with the account manager. Flu vaccination is required with accepted medical or religious exemptions.
