Senior Accountant

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their client's team in Modesto. This pivotal role requires an individual with a strong grasp of complex accounting functions and the ability to ensure accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining robust internal controls and supporting regulatory compliance requirements. Responsibilities Take an active role in overseeing complex accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting. Maintain strong internal controls and support regulatory compliance requirements. Lead key aspects of the monthly close process and perform advanced reconciliations. Support audits and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Provide guidance to accounting staff and ensure accounting activities are performed in accordance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Report to the Accounting Manager and provide support to the CFO, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and other departments to complete projects and tasks as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in a senior accounting role, with a strong understanding of GAAP. Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various departments. Experience with regulatory reporting and audits. Required Work Hours Monday through Friday, first shift.
