Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Labcorp

Labcorp seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a per diem position at an emergency department in Jacksonville, Florida. The role involves performing laboratory testing, operating instrumentation, quality control procedures, and delivering timely results in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate specimen acceptability according to established testing criteria
Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures following departmental protocols
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
Execute preventive maintenance and quality control documentation
Report accurate and timely test results for patient care delivery

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science
One year or more clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree
ASCP or AMT certification preferred
Ability to pass color blindness screening test
Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computers
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
