Guest Services Representative (Front Desk)

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a local hotel in Morris, IL to hire a professional and customer-focused Guest Services Representative. This position is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while managing front desk operations and ensuring a positive experience for every hotel guest.

Pay Rate

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour (or adjust as needed)

Schedule

Open availability required, including weekends and holidays. Hours may vary based on business needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Welcome guests during check-in and check-out while ensuring a positive guest experience
• Process reservations, room assignments, and guest requests accurately
• Handle cash transactions, payments, and maintain accurate records
• Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a professional manner
• Promote hotel services and amenities to guests
• Operate the hotel telephone system, including wake-up calls and message management
• Maintain communication between shifts through front desk logs and reports
• Perform cashier duties and assist with hotel market sales as needed
• Follow all hotel safety and security procedures, including incident reporting
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service at all times
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist guests and team members with additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service or hotel experience required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including Windows-based software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate office equipment and computer systems
• Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
