Job Title: Entry-Level Computer Systems Analyst Location: Birmingham, Alabama Work Arrangement: Onsite Employment Type: Contract Duration: 12+ Months Domain: Utilities / Vegetation Management Pay Rate: $22/hr Application Deadline: 16th July, 2026 Skills Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, GIS, Data Analytics, or a related field (completed or in progress) Basic understanding of computer systems, business processes, and data management Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques Knowledge of SQL, Python, or PowerShell (preferred) Familiarity with GIS or geospatial data concepts (preferred) Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Computer Systems Analyst to support business and operational systems within a dynamic Vegetation Management utility services environment. This role focuses on data processing, reporting, workflow support, system monitoring, and process documentation. The ideal candidate will help maintain system accuracy, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to technology and data-driven initiatives. Roles & Responsibilities Monitor and process system-generated requests to ensure timely and accurate completion. Extract, compile, maintain, and analyze recurring operational reports. Execute, monitor, and validate automated scripts and system processes while escalating issues when necessary. Support automated workflows, alerts, and operational notifications. Prepare, validate, and organize datasets for reporting, mapping, and business applications. Assist in managing large datasets for operational and analytical purposes. Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.Create and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workflow guides. Support knowledge management initiatives to improve onboarding, documentation, and team productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and operational excellence.
