Triton High School Athletic Trainer

Site Mass General Brigham Incorporated Summary Mass General Brigham's Outreach Athletic Trainers provide services to student athletes under the direction of the program or department head or designee in accordance with state athletic training practices. This role will be supporting Triton High School and will be onsite for practices and games. Essential Functions Care for athletic injuries. Design and implement injury rehabilitation programs. Formulate assessments and execute plans of action that best aid/fit student‑athletes’ health needs and determine student athletes' safe return to sport participation. Provide athletic training coverage for all home/hosted contests as described by the CCCAA bylaws. Administer emergency care and first aid. Create and regularly update an injury report. Ensure proper equipment use and fitting such as helmets, shoulder pads, braces, mouthpieces, and use of tape or wraps. Maintain documents, supplies and the working environment to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the clinic. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master’s Degree in a related field preferred. Licenses and Credentials: Certified Athletic Trainer [State License] [ATC]; Athletic Trainer Board of Certification (BOC); Passenger Vehicle Driver’s License. Experience: Experience working as an athletic trainer 0‑1 year preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Provide excellent athletic training and student mentoring; strong attention to detail; strong planning and organizational skills; adjust actions in relation to others; strong customer service skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; current Massachusetts driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable transportation required.
