We are working with a US start-up that is building AI-driven workflow automation to transform financial operations. They are looking for software engineers with strong foundations in production systems and a focus on applied AI. You will build product functionality directly and write production-grade code that brings advanced AI workflows into real-world use.

\n

Full-time roles are available with remote, hybrid, or on-site flexibility depending on preference and seniority. The office is in the Bay Area.

\n

\n

Candidates must be based in the US, there will be very occasional travel to the Bay Area.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Build and scale AI/ML and GenAI pipelines from experimental workflows to production-ready systems
\n
• Integrate model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring into product workflows
\n
• Deploy and manage GenAI solutions such as chatbots, RAG applications, and predictive analytics tools
\n
• Operationalise LLMs and AI agents, including prompt orchestration, chaining, and fine-tuning
\n
• Benchmark models, develop evaluation frameworks, and improve reliability and auditability
\n
• Implement observability, monitoring, and rollback mechanisms for secure, scalable deployments
\n
• Work across the stack, from backend systems to product SDKs to deliver AI features into user-facing applications
\n
• Prototype rapidly, gather feedback, and iterate while maintaining scalability and maintainability
\n
• Own critical product components and deliver robust, production-grade features
\n
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and engineers to solve real customer problems
\n
• Debug complex issues and perform root cause analysis across pipelines, infrastructure, and product layers
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
\n
• Strong software engineering background with experience shipping production systems
\n
• 3+ years of experience in ML/DL pipelines, deployment, and applied AI solutions
\n
• Proficiency in Python or Go, with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, FastAPI, or gRPC
\n
• Experience with LLM and AI frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI API)
\n
• Knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, reranking models, and LLM-based dialogue systems
\n
• Experience building and scaling backend platforms, APIs, and microservices
\n
• Comfortable working full-stack, from model APIs to user-facing integrations
\n
• Proven experience shipping AI features used in production
\n
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and usability
\n
• Self-starter with a high level of ownership
\n
• Regular user of AI developer tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot)
\n

• Production experience with LLMs at scale (APIs or custom implementations)

• Experience building agentic systems or LLM-powered products
\n
• Familiarity with prompt tuning methodologies (e.g. self-prompting, DSPy, Banks)

• Experience with performance optimisation and large-scale document indexing systems
\n
• Prior startup experience and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
\n
• Familiarity with databases and writing SQL queries
