Registered Nurse – Observation Unit

Schedule

Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Assignment Details

Fast-paced environment with an average length of stay of 27 hours per patient, caring for 20 to 27 patients per day.

Requirements

• RN License (New York License ONLY)
• Two years of Med/Surg experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), NIHSS, ACLS (AHA ONLY)

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult patients needing observation to determine the seriousness of their condition.
• Assess and monitor patients in a high-turnover environment, ensuring safety and quality care.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to manage patient care efficiently.
• Document patient observations and interventions accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and follow-up needs.
