Behavioral Intervention Specialist

Behavioral Intervention SpecialistProvides direct behavioral and therapeutic support to individuals in a structured day treatment setting. The specialist implements individualized treatment, and behavior plans under the supervision of clinical staff to promote emotional regulation, positive behavior, and skill development.Primary Duties:Implement behavior intervention and treatment plans as assigned.Support clients during group activities, classroom instruction, and therapeutic sessions.Monitor behaviors and use approved de-escalation and behavior management strategies.Collect and document behavioral data, progress notes, and incident reports.Assist clients with coping skills, social skills, and daily routines.Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.Collaborate with clinicians, teachers, and treatment team members.Qualifications:Experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional needs preferred.Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, education, or a related field required, OR a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral or emotional needs.Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
