You will work closely with experienced finance and operations professionals to analyze cost structures, support budgeting processes, and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings. Essential Duties Performs planned work to accomplish project goals while gaining experience with cost accounting practices, financial systems, and company policies. Assists with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting cost data to support operational and financial reporting needs. Supports preparation of cost reports, variance analyses, and summaries to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities. Works with cross‑functional teams such as operations, procurement, and finance to gather information and clarify cost‑related data. Assists in developing and maintaining cost models, standard costing processes, and inventory valuation support as applicable. Supports the budgeting and forecasting process by compiling data and assisting in financial analysis. Assists in identifying process improvements that enhance cost tracking accuracy and reporting efficiency. Maintains accurate records and supports data entry into financial systems and company databases. Assignments may require applying accounting principles and analytical skills to both routine and moderately complex problems, with opportunities to build expertise over time. Minimum Qualification Requirements Education Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field Preferred: Junior or Senior standing Experience No prior full‑time experience required. Skills Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including cost accounting concepts. Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and identify trends or discrepancies. Ability to apply accounting concepts to support financial and operational decisions. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general familiarity with financial systems or ERP platforms. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team‑oriented environment. Location Lakewood, Colorado – Open to candidates willing to relocate.
