Safely and accurately load finished product onto trailers for shipping. Essential Functions / Position Responsibilities Load and unload inbound shipments Move merchandise to storage locations Build, pick, and pack pallets Perform quality checks on inbound goods Carry out simple maintenance on the forklift, such as recharging its battery and refueling Identify and report mechanical and electrical faults to the supervisor or appropriate technicians Pack goods in the area/warehouse by hand when situation demands Identify and report damage or safety concerns to managers and supervisors Move product from the area/warehouse to other units within the company either by using the forklift or by hand Stack empty pallets and relocate pallets Pack and move other items other than goods as instructed by supervisors, such as packing hazardous wastes Weigh goods and record the weight in a log sheet Follow all company safety guidelines Ability to read production sheets Basic computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to add, subtract, & multiply Able to work extended work hours and weekends, as needed Self‑motivated Able to work in varying temperatures Professional attitude & conduct Ability to reconcile roll tags at end of shift Follow all company policies per Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct Performs other job‑related duties as assigned Hiring Requirements / Preferences HS Diploma or GED Pass background check, drug screen, physical, & Caetus Aptitude testing At least 3 years of forklift experience required Professional attitude & conduct Multi‑task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills are needed High degree of safety awareness and discipline Display a professional and courteous attitude to co‑workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times Willing to travel and work away from home when and if required Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary Ability to work a full shift, arrive on time, work overtime as needed, and meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by Pratt Safety and OSHA Be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the working environment Expected to be flexible to the needs of the business Random and suspicion drug tests are performed Must successfully complete a drug screen and background check to be hired EEOC Statement Pratt Industries provides equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability. #J-18808-Ljbffr
