Production Planner

Production PlannerWe are seeking an energetic, strategically minded Production Planner in search of a new challenge to join our team at SnapLock Industries!The Production Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate short- and mid-term production plans that align labor, machine capacity, raw materials, and forecasted demand. This role manages the production forecast file, incorporates forecast inputs from Sales, and ensures coordination with Purchasing, Operations, and Manufacturing to support on-time delivery and efficient production flow.Your Day to DayProduction & Capacity Planning· Build and maintain daily, weekly, and mid-range production schedules based on forecast and capacity constraints.· Manage a forecast file with inputs from Sales; update and reconcile forecast accuracy regularly.· Balance labor, machine time, and material availability to optimize production flow.· Conduct capacity reviews to identify bottlenecks and adjust schedules accordingly.· Monitor demand trends, seasonality, and customer behaviors to anticipate capacity needs.Material & Inventory Alignment· Coordinate material availability with Purchasing to avoid production interruptions.· Ensure inventory levels for raw materials and WIP support established production plans.· Track inventory turns, lead times, and material requirements; support MRP accuracy.Cross-Functional Coordination· Partner with Sales and Customer Service to align demand expectations with production capability.· Communicate plan changes, risks, and required adjustments to supervisors and leadership.· Participate in S&OP-related meetings and provide planning insights.KPI Tracking & Data Management· Maintain KPIs such as forecast accuracy, production adherence, inventory turns, and lead times.· Provide weekly/monthly reports regarding planning performance.Continuous Improvement· Identify process inefficiencies in forecasting, scheduling, and capacity planning.· Support Lean/5S efforts and standardized planning workflows.· Actively participate in keeping the work environment orderly.· Support continuous improvement by fostering an atmosphere of respect for materials, equipment, and shared spaces.· Encourage team accountability for sustaining a well-organized workplace.What We Would Love About You· High School Diploma required; some college preferred.· 3–5 years of experience in production planning, forecasting, or supply chain.· Strong analytical skills with proficiency in planning tools and Microsoft Office.· Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding preferred).· Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.· Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.· Strong planning and prioritization skills· Forward-thinking and resource-oriented· Highly organized with a continuous improvement mindset· Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple planning horizonsWhat You Would Love About Us· Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Insurances!· 401K with generous company match-up to 6%!· Paid Time Off + Company paid Holidays (10 Company Paid Holidays!)· Employee of the Month program, Service Awards, Birthday recognition· Financial wellness planningGerflor-Salt Lake City is the world's leading manufacturer of modular flooring systems — proudly made in the USA and home to iconic brands including RaceDeck Garage Floors, BigFloors, and SnapLock Dance Floors.
