We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join the accounting department of a growing company in the floral distribution industry. The ideal candidate will have basic accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Position: Accounting Assistant

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Additional Schedule: Rotating Saturdays, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.

- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Enter, review, and organize financial transactions.

- Assist with invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.

- Support the accounting team with administrative and reporting tasks.

- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of financial information.

Requirements:

- Approximately 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.

- QuickBooks experience is a plus.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

- Previous experience in the floral industry is a plus.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Reliable, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.

- Must be available to work 3 consecutive weeks, 7 days per week, during the Valentine's Day and Mother's Day peak seasons.
