2) Facilitating Scrum ceremonies (Refinement, sprint planning, retrospectives, removing impediments as needed, stand-ups, stakeholder meetings, etc.); 3) Coaching Agile/Scrum practices and ensuring correct use of Scrum process; 4) Training teams to self-manage and self-organize; 5) Ensuring the team works closely with product owner on backlog refinement for backlog priority; 6) Resolving impediments in a timely manner; 7) Resolving team conflicts and shielding the team from distractions; 8) Identifying cross-team dependencies; 9) Coordinating and assisting the team to create clear and concise epics/stories and sizing/tasking; 10) Monitoring, tracking, and communicating team velocity and sprint/release progress; 11) Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization; 12) Coaching the team to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization; 13) Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution; 14) Assisting with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information to ensure that a team's progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders; 15) Supporting and educating the Product Owners, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog; 16) Managing Scrum task board for teams; 17) Managing Scrum artifacts, including burn downs and burn-ups; 18) Ensuring story points are effectively managed and measured; and 19) Attending Agile planning sessions with Agile program teams and assisting delivery team with estimating and accepting stories. Position Requirements 1) First level Scrum Master Certification (Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), Certified Scrum Master (CSM); 2) One (1)- three (3) years of Scrum Master experience with in-depth knowledge of Scrum and implementation of Agile Methodologies to multiple teams in largescale enterprise change projects and programs for a software development team; 3) Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency; 4) Knowledge of documented patterns and techniques such as Burndown Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Retrospective formats for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach; 5) Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.); 6) Working experience in one or more of the following Agile methods or frameworks: Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), Kanban, Agile scaling methodologies (e.g., SAFe); 7) Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space: XP, Kanban, Crystal, Functional Design Diagram (FDD), etc.; 8) Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team; 9) Effective oral, written, and presenting skills are required; 10) Excellent mentoring skills; and 11) Knowledge of TFS to use as a tracking tool.
