Job Description

Support a special project by moving and setting up manufacturing equipment in a new cleanroom. Responsibilities include disconnecting, relocating, and installing equipment, as well as executing installation qualification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Move manufacturing equipment from one building to another and set it up in the new cleanroom.
• Execute installation qualification procedures for equipment setup.
• Set up valves, ensure correct piping, and establish electrical connections for machine installations.
• Follow all lockout and tagout procedures.
• Physically move tabletop equipment such as hot plates, freezers, chambers, and ovens.
• Perform tasks using Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Work from schematics, equipment manuals, diagrams, and layouts to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
• Update work progress in the MES and Asset Management programs daily.

Essential Skills

• 6-8 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Experience with multimeters and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency in installation qualification and electrical setups.
• Ability to read and review equipment manuals and schematics.
• Experience with equipment calibration, alignment, and testing.
• Capability to execute material moves following a plan.
• Proficiency with power tools and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and GMP environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a biotechnology or biomedical device environment.
• Experience with utility setup and hookups for manufacturing.
• Experience in asset management.

Work Environment

Work involves moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with assistance available for heavier items. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM, with potential overtime as needed. Equipment will be moved between specified buildings.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $42.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
