We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support ongoing financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity based in Annapolis, Maryland. This part-time role offers flexibility to work onsite or remotely. The position focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing core accounting activities, and providing support with payroll-related processes as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to support accurate day-to-day bookkeeping activities.

• Process vendor invoices and outgoing payments while monitoring accounts payable for accuracy and timeliness.

• Track incoming payments, record customer transactions, and help keep accounts receivable current.

• Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies to ensure financial data is complete and reliable.

• Manage bookkeeping tasks within QuickBooks, including data entry, account review, and routine account maintenance.

• Assist with payroll-related activities and offer practical input on payroll process needs when requested.

• Prepare basic financial information and summaries to help support business oversight and decision-making.

• Demonstrated experience performing hands-on bookkeeping with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency using QuickBooks for regular accounting and recordkeeping tasks.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Experience completing bank reconciliations with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity and manage priorities efficiently.
• Familiarity with payroll support is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
