HVAC Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist Bay Breeze Heating & Cooling Davidsonville, MDJoin Our Growing TeamBay Breeze Heating & Cooling is a growing HVAC company serving the Davidsonville area. We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting and Payroll Specialist to support our daily accounting and payroll functions.This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable, and supporting the day-to-day administrative needs of the business.If you are organized, detail-focused, and enjoy working with numbers in a team environment, we would like to hear from you.Position ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll, including employee hours, deductions, commissions, and benefits.Maintain accurate payroll records and assist with payroll-related questions.Prepare and record daily deposits, including checks, electronic payments, and credit card transactions.Enter customer payments and assist with accounts receivable tracking.Assist with customer account follow-up and collections.Process vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable.Prepare customer invoices for service, construction, and time-and-material work.Maintain accurate customer files, billing records, and documentation.Assist with processing credit card payments and customer financing paperwork.Assist with monthly account reconciliations.Maintain vendor information, including W-9 documentation.Assist with sales tax reporting and other required filings.Help organize accounting records for audits and tax preparation.Provide reports and information to management as requested.Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.ScheduleMonday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM One-hour lunchBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental InsurancePaid VacationPaid Holidays401(k) with 4% Company MatchStable, year-round employmentSupportive team environmentOpportunity for growthQualifications2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or related experience preferred.Experience with payroll processing preferred.Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.Experience with invoicing and billing.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.Good written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred.Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.HVAC, construction, or home services industry experience is a plus.Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
