Work Environment\n

The work setting for this role is primarily remote but will occasionally require on-campus attendance for meetings, workshops, and collaboration with faculty and students. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and screenings for students to evaluate their mental health needs, ensuring personalized care plans are established.

• Provide short-term individual counseling sessions that address a wide array of student concerns including anxiety, depression, academic stress, and other life challenges.

• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that focus on key issues affecting student well-being, such as stress management, coping strategies, and interpersonal skills.

• Collaborate with academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations to create a cohesive support system for students, enhancing overall campus wellness initiatives.

• Lead outreach initiatives including mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events to educate and empower students regarding mental health resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, ensuring continuity of care.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active professional license such as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• In-depth understanding of mental health challenges and concerns specific to the college student demographic.

• Proven ability to communicate effectively and build strong connections with students and fellow staff members, fostering an inclusive environment.

• Knowledge and application of evidence-based practices, including brief therapy models conducive to a university counseling setting.
