UB Greensfelder currently has an opening in the Chicago office for an Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join the Business Litigation Practice Group. Illinois law license required.

Position Responsibilities Include :

• Responsible for day-to-day tasks as well as the strategic process of case management.
• Manage cases from inception through discovery, trial preparation and trial.
• Conduct and defendant depositions
• Participate in settlement conferences, hearings and trial.
• Prepare motions, discovery responses, and client reports.
• Assist in trial preparation including strategy, discovery, records review, client interview, and witness preparation.
• Appearing in court and arguing substantive motions.

Qualified Applicants Will Have :

• 5+ years of litigation based practice required; experience with commercial business dispute matters preferred.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Superior analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.
• Trial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearing experience.
• Portable business or demonstrated business development interest is a plus, but not required.
