Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for Med Surg patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and therapies, and document patient responses.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team; participate in discharge planning and patient education.
• Maintain patient safety and quality metrics, perform accurate clinical assessments, and escalate changes in condition as needed.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record in a timely and compliant manner.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts on a 36-hour-per-week Med Surg unit
