Outside Sales Representative: Medical Industry

Overview Level: Entry | Job Location: Columbus, OH | Position Type: Full Time | Industry: Medical devices / durable medical equipment (DME) sales Role: Sales and Service Representative responsible for servicing medical practices and hospitals, developing and maintaining client relationships, and training staff on equipment. Responsibilities Grow designated territory by introducing Neb Doctors services to medical practices (pediatricians, family practices, urgent care, pulmonology, primary care, internal medicine, OB/GYN, etc.) and establish an ongoing service relationship with each practice. Perform routine equipment checks and handle setup, delivery, and follow-up in accordance with Neb Doctors policies and procedures. Instruct clinics and/or patients on the safe and proper use of delivered equipment. Complete all paperwork promptly and accurately to support delivery and billing functions. Utilize sales software to document customer visits, sales activity, inventory, and related data. Ensure proper storage of equipment within facilities, keeping areas clean, organized, and compliant with state and federal laws. Attend and contribute to group sales meetings and ongoing training as scheduled. Qualifications Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. 3–5 years in sales and customer service. Healthcare or DME background preferred. Requirements: Must live within the Columbus, OH territory. Desire to achieve or exceed established goals. Proficiency with software (CRM) or ability to quickly learn new software. Ability to close sales and maintain relationships; strong people skills. Organized with excellent verbal and written communication; strong assessment skills. Ability to maintain confidential patient and company information. Customer service oriented; professional demeanor and independence in work. Ability to pass a motor vehicle records check (MVR) with no major violations in the past 5 years. Physical Requirements Carry and move medical equipment up to 25 pounds; load equipment into a vehicle; stock facilities (dolly provided). Repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers while assembling products. Safely operate a vehicle and drive between 6–8 hours per day.
