Energy Infrastructure Risk Analyst

Job Overview Provide services and support as an Energy Infrastructure Risk Analyst within Independent Engineering Advisory Services, focusing on risk‑management solutions for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Dominance Financing (EDF) Program, including project bankability, technical‑financial interface, and lifecycle exposure. Responsibilities and Duties Provide independent engineering advisory support for technical due diligence, credit evaluation, lifecycle monitoring, and assurance activities. Review project documentation, evaluate technical and commercial interfaces, identify risks and mitigation measures. Validate assumptions, support conditions precedent and disbursement readiness reviews, and prepare defensible work products (risk models, reports, mitigation plans, lender due diligence inputs). Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls stakeholders to support timely lender and DOE decision‑making. Qualifications 10+ years of relevant engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory experience. Demonstrated work on oil and gas, power, utilities, or large‑scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, independent engineers, or federal clients. Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or a related field. Preferred certifications: PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, PMI‑RMP. Skills and Competencies Project finance & credit evaluation support, technical due diligence, risk assessment, energy infrastructure risk, project bankability. Data room review, information request tracking, report writing, Excel‑based analysis. Stakeholder coordination and presentation of findings. Technical judgment, independence, analytical rigor, attention to detail, client service orientation, cross‑functional collaboration, issue escalation, quality mindset, schedule discipline. Ancillary Role Details Participate in data room reviews, borrower/contractor interviews, site observations, monthly monitoring meetings. Update risk registers, review E&C evidence, check draw packages, track issue closure, prepare independent engineer reports for DOE, LPO, credit, and program governance stakeholders. Support large‑scale U.S. energy infrastructure financing through independent engineering, technical due diligence, credit evaluation, construction monitoring, operational performance assessment, and risk management.
