Job Description
The Office Manager and Legal Assistant role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within our boutique Key West law firm. This position combines administrative expertise with legal support tasks to maintain organizational efficiency and facilitate effective client and staff communication. This is not a remote position. Living in the FL Keys can be expensive with limited housing options, so we are only interviewing those who currently reside in the Keys or who have concrete plans to relocate. We are looking for a long-term employee who is eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Manage general office administration and maintain organized workflows
- Prepare and review legal documents to support attorneys
- Coordinate calendars, schedule appointments, and manage meetings
- Handle client communications professionally and promptly
- Process billing, invoicing, and maintain financial records
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Coordinate appointments and ensure all logistics are handled efficiently
- The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who is detail oriented
