Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate

We are working with a leading national law firm seeking a Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in advising on sophisticated commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing arrangements, and real estate transactions.
The ideal candidate will have experience providing tax advice in connection with a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions and enjoy working collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice areas.
Responsibilities include:
- Advising on federal income tax considerations in mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, and reorganizations
- Providing tax guidance on financing transactions and commercial lending arrangements
- Advising on tax matters involving real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and investments
- Reviewing and negotiating tax-related provisions in transaction documents
- Conducting tax research and analyzing complex transactional tax issues
- Working closely with corporate, finance, and real estate attorneys to structure transactions and address tax considerations
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of transactional tax experience at a law firm
- Experience advising on sophisticated commercial transactions, including M&A, finance, and real estate matters
- Strong knowledge of federal income tax law and transactional tax principles
- Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
