Dental Insurance Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our busy dental practice in Paxton, MA. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of prior dental office experience.

Work Location: This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available. Please do not apply if you are seeking a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, take messages, and direct calls as appropriate.
• Provide administrative support, including filing, photocopying, and organizing documents.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
• Schedule patient appointments and maintain staff calendars.
• Respond to patient inquiries and assist in resolving concerns.
• Provide patients with co-payment estimates for upcoming visits.
• Collect patient payments.
• Coordinate with other departments to support efficient office operations.
• Enter insurance payments accurately.
• Submit insurance claims.
• Review and manage insurance aging reports.
• Assist with accounts receivable activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• At least two years of previous dental office experience.
• Proficiency with dental software; Dentrix experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of dental procedures.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service in a professional manner.
• Familiarity with office equipment, including printers, scanners, and fax machines.
• Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive patient and business information.

Schedule:

• Monday: 8:00 AM5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM6:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM4:00 PM
• Friday: Closed
• Saturday: 8:00 AM1:00 PM, approximately two Saturdays per month

Compensation: Hourly pay is based on performance and experience.
