## Shipping and Receiving Clerk - 1st ShiftApplylocations: West Chicago, ILtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-101674**Job Description:****Competitive Pay Rate:** $18.00-$21.00 per hour**Job Type:** Full-time**Benefits:*** Health Insurance* Paid Time Off* Dental Insurance* Vision Insurance* 401K**Schedule:** 1st Shift**Work Location:** On-site**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*** Receive, unload, and help verify incoming and outgoing shipments following established warehouse procedures* Assist with preparing, reviewing, and filing shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and on time* Check product quantities and visible condition against packing slips, bills of lading, and delivery documents* Enter and maintain basic shipping, receiving, and inventory records as required* Communicate respectfully with drivers, carriers, customers, and team members regarding deliveries and pickups* Follow assigned work instructions to meet daily accuracy and productivity expectations* Provide courteous assistance to customers, drivers, and visitors as needed* Help monitor dock schedules and update dock boards under supervisor guidance* Support onboarding of new associates by sharing standard shipping and receiving practices* Follow facility security procedures, including access control, and reporting unusual activity* Perform work safely and report unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor promptly* Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards in line with housekeeping standards* Follow food safety and quality guidelines relevant to daily job duties* Report food safety or quality concerns to appropriate personnel when observed* Perform other tasks as assigned by management **QUALIFICATIONS / CAPABILITY PROFILE****Minimum Education*** High School Diploma or equivalent**Minimum Qualifications / Skills*** Strong organizational and record‐keeping skills* Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping/warehouse systems* Effective verbal and written communication skills* Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others* Ability to identify, locate, handle, and distribute product accurately* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment* Ability to follow established work procedures and safety rules* Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions* Ability to work assigned shifts and scheduled hours**Working Conditions / Physical Requirements*** Ability to push/pull, load/unload, and lift or move equipment and product weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance throughout the shift* Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, often up to 8–10 hours per shift* Ability to climb stairs or ladders safely* Ability to use hands and fingers to handle paperwork, scanners, labels, small parts, and computer equipment* May use a manual pallet jack and may operate a forklift once certified* Must wear required PPE (gloves, hairnets, safety glasses, ear protection, masks, appropriate footwear)* Work may involve exposure to cold, heat, humidity, noise, moving mechanical parts, food ingredients and cleaning chemicals* Must be able to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as neededMSI Express is an equal opportunity employer.
