Activity Director Axiom Healthcare of Flora Flora, Illinois FULL_TIME About the Role As an Activity Director at Axiom Healthcare of Flora, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. Responsibilities Develop and plan activities that promote socialization, spiritual growth, and community interaction, including group social activities, spiritual programs, and opportunities for resident involvement in planning and implementation Prepare, plan, and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities that cater to the interests and needs of each resident Oversee Activity Aides, train volunteers, and assess resident needs to develop resident activity goals for the written care plan Document resident participation and progress notes, and review resident goals and progress reports Participate in care plan meetings, QAPI, and department head meetings as necessary Develop and manage the activity budget, including creatively sourcing funds Foster relationships with family members and community partners to support the Activity department Requirements High School Diploma or its equivalent Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Why Join Our Team Axiom Healthcare of Flora is committed to providing a collaborative and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.
