Part-Time Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Operating 20 hours per week, this role focuses on performing comprehensive evaluations and providing targeted therapy services to help students improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, functional abilities, and independence within the educational environment. The therapist will work across multiple sites as needed, ensuring all services align closely with individual IEP goals, physician orders, and state and federal compliance guidelines.

• Conduct comprehensive student evaluations based on referrals and IEP requirements; develop and implement individualized treatment plans under physician and IEP direction.
• Provide direct therapy services utilizing therapeutic exercises, physical agents, and activities of daily living (ADL) training to improve functional skills and motor development.
• Partner with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to align treatment goals and discuss student progress; actively participate in IEP meetings and service planning.
• Complete timely, detailed, and accurate documentation, reporting, and billing in strict accordance with organizational and state guidelines.
• Provide necessary supervision, guidance, and direction to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and/or rehabilitation aides in compliance with state practice acts.
• Maintain safe, clean, and learning-conducive therapy settings and equipment; ensure full compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice, along with a current NBCOT certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience, with a strong preference for school-based or pediatric settings.
• Robust understanding of pediatric therapy techniques, student-centered care, and fine motor/sensory skill development; strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Flexibility and reliability to comfortably travel between and support multiple school sites if required.
