Senior Accounting Consultant

Client: Fintech Organization Role: Senior Accounting Consultant Pay Rate: $70-$80/hr Duration: 3+ Months with the opportunity to extend! Location: *Remote* Job Description: • Perform detailed review and reconciliation of intercompany balances across global entities. • Research and resolve aged intercompany differences, unmatched transactions, and historical reconciling items. • Partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and regional finance teams to validate balances and supporting documentation. • Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as required. • Investigate historical transactions and document root causes of discrepancies. • Assist with intercompany settlements, confirmations, and account certification activities. • Support month-end close activities related to intercompany accounting. • Create standardized reconciliation templates and supporting schedules. • Document accounting processes and recommendations to improve future intercompany controls. • Support preparation of audit-ready documentation for intercompany balances and transactions. This aligns with responsibilities already outlined in CAO accounting roles regarding intercompany tracking, reconciliations, and settlement support.
