EDA Infrastructure Support Engineer

Salary: $135,200 - 145,600 per year Requirements:

• Strong familiarity with semiconductor design flows and backend compute environments.
• Hands-on experience triaging distributed resource management systems such as IBM Spectrum LSF, Slurm, or Altair Grid Engine.
• Experience managing and debugging FlexLM/FlexNet Publisher systems.
• Proficiency troubleshooting pipeline disruptions in Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or Perl for automated log analysis and environment checks.
• Strong problem-solving and rapid debugging abilities under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience providing L1/L2 support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) infrastructure.
• Experience with HPC infrastructure and environment management.
• Familiarity with EDA tools, HPC infrastructure, grid computing, LSF, Slurm, FlexLM, CI/CD, Python, Bash, or Perl.

• Monitor and manage high-performance computing environments, triaging issues in LSF, Grid Engine, or Slurm to support effective job scheduling and resource utilization.
• Track, debug, and resolve license checkout failures, denials, and server synchronization issues for major EDA vendors, including Cadence and Siemens/Mentor.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automated build, test, and simulation failures in hardware CI infrastructure.
• Work closely with hardware design engineers, CAD teams, and IT infrastructure partners to identify root causes quickly and reduce engineering downtime.
