Planner I – Current Planning (Entitlements Division) The City of Henderson is conducting an examination to create an eligibility list and fill one vacancy for the classification of Planner I. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year. Responsibilities Conduct research and analysis on community development projects and issues under general supervision. Process land‑use applications and review development proposals. Write staff reports and complete research related to entitlements. Provide front‑counter customer service. Salary and Benefits Competitive salary range: $31.31 – $46.97 hourly; placement based on a comprehensive compensation review and candidate qualifications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Planning, Geography, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a closely related field. OR associate’s degree in the same majors and two years of experience conducting research and analysis on planning, zoning, or community development issues. Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered. Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or "border state" driver’s license as defined by NRS 483.
