Body Repair Technician1st ShiftJob Summary - Essential Functions:The Body Repair Technician is responsible for making body repairs, major or minor, on all vehicles, and assist mechanics whenever needed. These essential functions include the following:Body panel removal, repair, and replacementGlass removal and replacementExternal mirror removal, repair and replacementFiberglass and bondo repairsDecal installation and removal (internal and external)Seat insert/cushion installation, repair and replacement (driver and passenger seats)Bike rack and mounting bracket removal, repair and replacementThe candidate must provide a complete set of tools to efficiently perform the job described. This includes a complete set of mechanic's tools (excluding special tools) up through 1¼ inch size wrenches and sockets, including metric tools required to do the job up to 20 mm.Reports To: Maintenance SupervisorQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Possess and maintain a valid driver's license from the State of Michigan and submit a clean five (5) year driving record with application.Must possess a Michigan Chauffeur based "BP" temporary instruction CDL permit (T.I.P.) prior to hire date.Must possess a valid State of Michigan Group B Commercial Driver License with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement within 90 days of hire.Verifiable prior experience in body repair (light or heavy)Must possess a Fork Lift Driving Certificate or obtain within 90 days of employment.Physical Requirements:Lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs.Constant standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, and twistingAbility to use hands to operate tools, grasp, push, pull, and steady arms for extended periodsPrecise finger movements for small parts and controlsEOE (Veteran/Disability)How to Apply for This Job:To apply for this position, please follow these steps: Apply for this job with your current resume.
