System Analyst 4 (Business Systems Analyst) Location: Virginia

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Job Summary

Our Client is seeking an experienced System Analyst 4 (Business Systems Analyst) to support the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of a new enterprise investment data platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in business analysis, process improvement, requirements gathering, testing, and data analysis while working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

This role will focus on analyzing current-state business processes and data flows, defining future-state solutions, supporting system implementation, and ensuring successful delivery of enterprise investment data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to analyze and document current-state business processes, systems, and data flows.

• Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for business process improvement.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather business and technical requirements.

• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.

• Develop future-state business processes, workflows, and operating models.

• Analyze enterprise data architecture, system integrations, and application dependencies.

• Create business process documentation, process maps, workflow diagrams, and data flow diagrams.

• Support data mapping, data validation, reconciliation, and migration activities.

• Develop testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA teams, and business users throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Assist with system implementation, change management, and user adoption activities.

• Support reporting, data analysis, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.

• Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

• Minimum 7 years of experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.

• Minimum 7 years of experience improving business processes and system workflows.

• Minimum 7 years of experience creating and executing testing strategies, test plans, and test cases.

• Strong experience conducting business process analysis and requirements elicitation.

• Experience documenting business processes, workflows, process maps, and technical documentation.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Experience supporting Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with investment management or financial services organizations.

• Experience using SQL and/or Python for data analysis.

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Tableau, or Power BI.

• Experience using Microsoft Power Automate or other Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.

• Experience with enterprise data platforms and system integration projects.

• Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
