WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital in Rochester, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to join a top‑tier clinical team while advancing your career in a fast‑paced acute care environment.

Job Function:

• Shift: 36 hrs/ 3x12 Rotating Weekends/Holidays required.
• Administer prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV) and accurately document all treatments.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and report findings per facility policy.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post‑operative expectations.
• Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and clinical assessments.
• Operate, monitor, and adjust specialized patient‑care equipment; interpret and document. electronic data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Active New York State RN License (NY only accepted)
• Orthopedic nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Experience in a Level I Trauma facility preferred
• Floating required
• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• Orthopedic surgical nursing experience
• Spine surgery and orthopedic trauma care
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
