Job Description
Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a direct impact on student success by supporting communication and language development through a dynamic school-based contract opportunity in the Portage, IN area. Two dedicated speech-language pathologists are needed for the upcoming school year to serve elementary-age learners and provide services in alignment with educational best practices. Desired qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
- Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience in a school-based setting desired
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering student growth and success
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver evaluations and ongoing therapy services to eligible students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Partner with educators, counselors, and families to promote generalization of communication skills
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes according to school and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on multidisciplinary teams
- Provide support, training, and recommendations to classroom staff
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the diverse needs and backgrounds of students
