Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, offering flexibility while maintaining a structured workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Team members are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to facilitate effective teletherapy sessions, including secure video conferencing software and electronic health records management. Regular team meetings will help to foster a sense of community and collaboration among staff members.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for geriatric clients, evaluating their emotional, psychological, and social needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific issues related to aging, cognitive decline, and life transitions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to help clients work through emotional and psychological challenges, including grief, anxiety, and depression.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and effective treatment outcomes.

• Provide education and training to family members and caregivers on best practices for supporting seniors’ mental health and wellness.

• Develop and lead cognitive stimulation programs and interventions to engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental acuity.

• Assist clients and their families in navigating end-of-life matters through compassionate grief and loss counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on geriatric clients, many of whom may be experiencing complex mental health challenges related to aging, including chronic illnesses, loss of loved ones, and significant life transitions. Sensitivity to the unique cultural backgrounds and life experiences of seniors is crucial, as many clients come from diverse communities within Miami. You will play a vital role in building trusting relationships while adapting your counseling approach to meet the various needs of the elderly.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

• A minimum of three years of recent experience providing mental health counseling to seniors.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to the salary, a sign-on bonus is available.
